Answering the Bell: Working in the House at Monticello
(every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in February)
These guided tours of the house highlight the experiences of enslaved men and women who worked in the Monticello household. Each tour covers the rooms on Monticello’s first floor and lasts about 30 minutes. Offered as part of Monticello's observance of Black History Month.
Prices
| Adult: $17 Children ages 6-11: $8 Children under 6: Free |
Group Tours: special rates are available to adult groups of 25 or more and youth/student groups of any size. Please call (434) 984-9880 for information and to make reservations.
Prices do not include service fee ($1.50 max per ticket) for ordering online. All visitors, regardless of age, must have a ticket to take this tour.
Answering the Bell Tour Schedule
Noon and 2 p.m. every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in February plus Presidents Day (Monday, Feb. 15).
